Seventeen year old British rising star Alfie Templeman has shared his vibrant new single ‘Happiness In Liquid Form’ out now via Chess Club Records. Co-written with Justin Young of The Vaccines and premiering overnight as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record in the World on BBC Radio 1 overnight, ‘Happiness In Liquid Form’ stands as an uplifting return for the teenage wunderkind in 2020.
Describing the inspiration behind the new single, Templeman describes: “‘Happiness…’ is the most colourful sugary disco-pop song I’ve put out so far. It came about so easily one day in the studio with Justin from the Vaccines and his right hand man Will and by the end of the day we knew we had something special on our hands. It’s a tough time for everyone right now so hope this brings a little happiness into people’s lives!”
Templeman’s trio of rapturously received EP’s – 2018’s Like An Animal, and 2019’s Sunday Morning Cereal and Don’t Go Wasting Time – introduced the world to a prodigiously talented young musician, songwriter, producer and performer. Across singles like ‘Stop Thinking (About Me)’, ‘Like an Animal’, ‘Tragic Love’ and ‘Yellow Flowers’ the Bedfordshire-born teen has enjoyed a meteoric rise.
