Lorelei is the dark dream-pop project of Sydney-based duo, Claudia Schmidt and Arlen McCarthy. A little over a year after the release of their first single ‘I Am a Road’, the Australian pair return with their third release ‘Pale', a noir-pop-dreamgaze track, built off guitars, swirling synth, drums and the brooding drift of Claudia Schmidt’s voice. The duo’s sound evokes the doom and paranoia of David Lynch’s soundtracks while keeping minimal and elusive. The duo worked with Sydney-based producer/engineer Lachlan Mitchell (The Jezabels, The Vines) at Parliament Studios.
