RENAN FRANZEN was born in Porto Alegre, the most southern capitol in Brazil, to a non-musical family who eventually moved to Los Angeles. It was there that he held and electric guitar for the first time and where he spent the later years of his childhood. Back in Brazil he started taking private music lessons and playing in bands. During his teens and early twenties, he performed as a guitar player in many genres. Rock, Jazz, Reggae, MPB (Música Popular Brasileira), and Progressive Rock. Currently Renan composes music for film and TV in Brazil.
