The track has been produced by Kaytranada and is such a cool record. Lauren is an amazing singer and songwriter and I’ve had the pleasure to work with her here in London. Jafunk – This Thing
Jafunk first released this as a Soundcloud exclusive some time ago but since it’s also available on Spotify since this month. I’ve decided to include it in this mix as Jafunk is one of my favourite producers and DJs ever. Since last year we’ve thrown a few parties together which are all about having fun and good vibes. His DJ sets are a mix of funk, disco classics and new school and simply incredible.
Pastel, Camden – When It’s Real
Another producer who’s been putting out good tunes constantly is Pastel, a multi-instrumentalist and DJ originally from France, who’s now living in London. Pastel played his first ever live gig there other day and I can’t wait to see what the future brings for this awesome guy. Here’s his latest single.
FHAT – Pleasure
These boys are on top of my artists to watch out for list. I love the way they combine old and new school RnB into something really unique. Both guys are really interesting and so much fun! Last year we released the song “Back To Life” together which was their first ever session together and how FHAT was born. They both grew up in the US but now live in Berlin, working on their debut EP.
Chaney – 39 Times (Confrontation)
The last song I’ve chosen is my favourite fee- good record at the moment by Chaney. I love playing that one in my DJ sets, it’s such a good vibe.
