Dan Webb unveils interactive 3D synesthetic canvas

Australian producer and musician Dan Webb has launched Webb Warp, a synesthetic browser app designed to be both an interactive audio remix engine and a living visual playground.

“I’ve spent the past few years hard at work on my next album. While only a handful of tracks make the final cut, hundreds of demos often hit a dead end. I built Webb Warp to give those ideas a second life,” Webb says.

Each world is built around stems from Webb’s own unreleased demos and has its own distinct visual tone and soundscape. Users can manipulate the audio directly – adjusting BPM, applying effects, and warping the sound in real time, while the 3D canvas responds and shifts in sync. Synesthetic effects – ranging from visual filters and colour palettes that sync to the actual time of day, to audio distortion and manipulation – give even casual users the means to produce something compelling. No coding, 3D engine knowledge, or DAW experience is required.

“Even on mute, the canvas stands alone as a compelling generative art piece,” Webb adds. “It’s a space where complex art is shaped by touch, feel, and intuition.”

What sets Webb Warp apart is its evolutionary approach to sharing. Once a ‘Warp’ is published, others can remix and build upon it, with every iteration traceable back to its original form.

The platform is also positioned as a resource for professional creators. Visual artists, VJs, and music producers can use it to capture unique beats or kaleidoscopic visuals for use in their own commercial projects. A trending feed on the homepage allows users to browse existing content by BPM, mood, and time of day.

Webb has named the first three worlds after collaborators from his debut EPs: engineer Matt Voigt, drummer Josiah Bradshaw, and bassist Luke Ebert. He plans to continue this naming convention as the platform grows.
